Parking Assessments

Parking assessments are similar to traffic and transport assessments albeit they are specific to parking issues.

Increasing levels of congestion and a perceived lack of adequate public parking facilities in urban centres can sometimes lead Local Authorities to request an assessment of parking issues as part of a planning application.

Specifically with regard to town centres it must sometimes be demonstrated that there is sufficient parking available within the immediate vicinity of a site so that as a result of the proposed development there would be a negligible impact upon parking.
