GMIT MOBILITY MANAGEMENT PLAN

Description

This was prepared as part of a planning application for a new Engineering Building on GMIT's Dublin Road campus in Galway City. The MMP was developed in two phases. Phase 1 of the MMP suggested a package of realistic measures and facilities which could be used to achieve the required modal transfer from car to more sustainable travel modes. This was intended to be used as a a consultation document for student and staff unions to reach agreement upon which measures could be implemented. Phase 2 of the MMP involved collating data obtained from the existing student/staff body by way of a questionnaire survey and refining the package of measures and facilities to be implemented as part of the MMP.
