Description

We represented KRM Construction Ltd at an oral hearing for a mixed use development of 60 retail units, 26 apartments, offices and a hotel in Waterford City Centre. We were successful in that the Board upheld the Local Authority’s decision to grant planning permission.

Mixed-use development (approx. 27,450-sq.m.), incorporating 60 no. retail units (including 3 No. anchor units), 153 No. Bedroom Hotel (4 star) with restaurant, bar, café, swimming pool & leisure facilities, conference centre & meeting rooms, 26 residential apartments, 11 no. commercial office units, exhibition & community amenity area, sports bar & bowling centre, food court, roof garden and open space, a separate open urban garden 720 sq. m., 630 no. car parking spaces and service areas, demolition of existing structures and incorporation of protected structures and associated works, on a site at Stephens St., Alexander St, Michael St, New St., Brown’s Lane, Castle St., Waterford. The application was accompanied by an EIS and a model.
